About Girl Guides

About The Girl Guides Program:
The Girl Guide Outreach program plans and executes activity nights with the local guiding groups in order to help the girls achieve the requirements from one of the engineering or science badges. Programs can be arranged for all ages including Sparks, Brownies, Guides, and Pathfinders. In doing so, volunteers show the girls a fun side of science and engineering than they may not be shown at school.

The program has recently expanded to offer a Girl Guide Engineering and Science Day located at Queen’s University. This day is a full 6 hours of science and engineering activities for all ages. Girls who enjoyed the visits from our wonderful volunteers, or who are excited about hands on activities would love this event. Check out the Girl Guide EngSci Day registration page for more details.

All of the volunteers in this program are women currently studying different areas of science or engineering. It is a great opportunity for the girls to gain some exposure to various different fields.
